Hello everyone, this evening I am sharing a new layout I did with the Crate Paper Craft Market collection. This afternoon I finished my 9th layout with this collection and I still feel like there is so much left! I’m hoping to get double the amount of layouts when I’m doing my Kill The Collection video for it. Talking about videos; I am going to try and record my first process video this weekend (hopefully). I’ve decided to go with filming with my Iphone instead of my Nikon D3100 for various reasons…

One of the main reasons why I’ve decided not to film with my DSLR is because it got really hot after recording for only 20 minutes – I am afraid that if I do it longer than that my camera might get ruined or something and I don’t want to take that risk. #2 is that after recording for about 20 minutes my battery was as good as empty. Though I can deal with a recording length limit of 10 minutes, it would be extremely annoying if I had to recharge my battery in between recording my layouts (it would also totally kill my ‘work flow’). The final reason is that sometimes the camera will randomly stop filming without warning. I don’t know why it does that, and sometimes it will work just fine, but I would be too scared to take the risk of it cutting out while I am trying to film my scrapbooking process. I made a little video this afternoon to test my Iphone, and though the quality is not the best, I am hoping it will be enough for those who will watch it because for now it is the best I can do. Here is the video;

I would, of course, put high quality photos and closeups of the layout at the end of each video. I would love to hear what your thoughts are on this.

Now on to the layout I am sharing today; the background paper I used was that pink chevron paper with gold glitter – and let me tell you something; I ADORE this paper (yes I had to put in caps how much I adore it)! I love the shades of pink that are in this and I also love that the glitter stays on the paper. When I was making this layout I already knew I wanted to use this photo of me and my boyfriend so I didn’t have to go through the ‘problem’ of deciding which picture to use. I mounted my photo on 3 different patterns of paper instead of the usual 2. I am now not so sure if that was the right decision but I can’t change it anymore so I will just have to deal with it haha. I used a few florals that I had cut out and colored in with watercolor paint. This layout came together easily, but I somehow feel like the photo doesn’t do it justice. That might sound weird, but I think it looks better in real life than it does on the photo;
