My name is Claudia and I am a 23 year old girl from The Netherlands. I am currently living in Denmark with my boyfriend, I moved here at the start of 2015. I love scrapbooking, my boyfriend, photoshop, photography, gaming, my pets and music but this blog is mainly about scrapbooking.My ultimate dream job would be to design my own collections for a scrapbooking company, wouldn’t that be amazing? I spend a lot of time on things related to scrapbooking but I also absolutely love playing the Sims 4 on PC – I can spend all day playing it on a rainy Sunday.
My Scrapbooking History;
The first time I came in contact with scrapbooking was in 2005 (I was 12 at the time). My mom was doing it and I thought it looked like so much fun. Of course I had no clue what I was doing back then and I only made a few pages before I stopped doing it. I don’t really remember why I didn’t continue with it. Then a few years later I saw some K&Company papers my mom had and I loved them so much that I wanted to scrapbook again. I bought a ton of paper, most of them had super busy backgrounds, and all I really did with them was just put my photos on them. Just that. No journaling, no embellishments, no layering, no nothing. Then in the fall of 2013 I saw the Flea Market collection by Maggie Holmes and I just thought it was so pretty with the colors it used, the embellishments. For the first time I felt like I had to have a whole collection and felt inspired to play around and mix it all together. I got most of that collection and I’ve been in love with scrapbooking that way ever since. To me it is so much fun to play around with all the embellishments and try to make something beautiful, but of course it is also a great way to document memories.
I like to say that I ‘really’ started scrapbooking at the end of 2013 because I feel like what I was doing before wasn’t really doing that even though I guess technically it was. I could call it an evolution of my style, perhaps? I am excited to be a part of a community that is filled with so many awesome people.
